The Creator of the Snyder Cut Petition Has Raised Over $400 to Make a Movie About It
DCEU fan and civic activist Roberto Mata, who started the petition demanding that Warner Bros release the Zack Snyder Cut of Justice League that has garnered more than 175,000 signatures (some of them even real) has launched a new campaign. Mata's new endeavor aims to raise money to create a documentary about demanding the Snyder Cut. In other words, he wants to make Justice League: The Snyder Cut: The Movie.
The Snyder Cut, of course, is a mythical version of Justice League which restores in full Zack Snyder's Vision, a pure and wonderful guiding force of the DCEU that was bespoiled by Warner Bros' hired assassin, alleged fake feminist Joss Whedon, who took over after Snyder left the production due to a personal tragedy, only to replace all of Snyder's awesome Superman scenes with scenes where Cyborg says "booyah."
According to Mata, "the search for the truth on what really happened and whether or not the film will ever be released bis (sic) ongoing and maybe a documentary about it, might help the cause I started with the petition."
So far, 21 Snyderbronies (the colloquial term for hardcore fans of the DCEU) have pledged funds to the film, with a total of $407 raised of a $4000 goal. Mata plans to use the money to buy the equipment needed to make a film chronicling him starting the petition and creating a global phenomenon that culminated in more than a dozen people marching on the city of Burbank, demanding that Warner Bros release the cut.
So far, Warner Bros has held out, probably because they realize that the longer we wait for the Snyder Cut, the better it will ultimately be. In a way, the Snyder Cut is kind of like tantric sex. Actually, now that we think about it, the Snyder Cut is exactly like tantric sex in every conceivable way.
