More Washington Politics… House Of Cards Season 5 Premiere Date Released

Netflix picked today to released this rather styled promo, featuring an upside-down flag over the White House, announcing the fifth season premiere date for House of Cards. The political drama stars Kevin Spacey as a power hungry politician from South Carolina who was promised the position of Secretary of State in exchange for his support. But when he was passed over, he launches an elaborate scheme with the help of his wife, played by Robin Wright, to move him into a position of great power.

Season five will be the first without series creator Beau Willmon as the showrunner. He has been replaced by co-showrunnners Melissa James Gibson and Frank Pugliese, who both joined the show in the third season. The series is an adaptation of a British mini-series of the same name and of the novel by Michael Dobbs.

House of Cards season five debuts May 30th, 2017.
