Dark Horse Comics is really looking to build the hype for Bang!, the new comic launching from Matt Kindt and Wilfredo Torres in February They first tried to generate hype by teasing the book with a secret creative team (as if shouting the title at us wasn't enough), and since revealing that, they've been introducing[...]

Matt Kindt and Wilfredo Torres are launching a new comic book series, BANG! from Dark Horse Comics in February But they would like you to get to know their characters first Which is why, every Monday, we'll get to know one of the characters in a fashion that will make it very clear who they are[...]
Maybe there's a je ne sais quois in the pitch that didn't materialize in the issue?
Folklords #1 by Matt Kindt, Matt Smith, Chris O'Hallorhan and Jim Campbell: I stan Matt Kindt's work, so it doesn't surprise me that there's alternate realities going on in this almost-cute issue about a boy that dreams of the 20th[...]
It feels like just yesterday that we were telling you how Matt Kindt had the biggest creator-owned launch of his career thanks to Folklords #1 with artist Matt Smith And then we were the first to tell you that the series was another hit series from Boom Studios, selling out two weeks before its November[...]
Well, it's not in the newly christened 50K Club alongside Once & Future and (almost) Something Is Killing The Children quite yet, but I'm hearing Matt Smith and Matt Kindt's Folklords #1, the newest creator-owned launch from Boom Studios, has already sold out at Diamond Distributors two weeks before its November 13 release despite a[...]
Two prominent comic book Matts, Matt Kindt and Matt Smith, are teaming up for a new five-issue series at explosive publisher BOOM! Studios in November Folklords, a press release tells us, is "about a young man whose forbidden quest reveals the shocking truth about his world and turns everything he ever knew upside down."
In a[...]
Grass Kings is an American modern murder-mystery, borrowing elements of fantasy and the Old West to tell the story about three brothers and the dissident slice of land they call home. As an Eisner nominee for 2018's Best New Series, this release from Boom Studios is a tempting trade to add to your collection, especially[...]
Black Hammer is getting another spinoff, and this time, Nazis will most assuredly be punched! Jeff Lemire teams up with Ray Fawkes and Matt Kindt for a new 4-issue mini-series called Black Hammer '45, hitting stores in March from Dark Horse Why those two? Because of the power of friendship.
Says lemire:
Matt Kindt and Ray Fawkes[...]

But superstar comic book creators Jeff Lemire and Matt Kindt don't follow the rules, so Lemire, who once referred to Kindt as his comic soulmate, took to Twitter to tease an upcoming secret project with Kindt.
My buddy @mattkindt is coming to visit me tomorrow in Toronto so we can work on our top secret new[...]
X-O Manowar concludes Aric's quest to find a fellow Visogoth in the heart of the Roman Empire, but he must escape the arena. Is it a goodd read?
I'm still a little off-put by this fairly dry and straightforward historical fiction being dropped into this otherwise high sci-fi title, and it's nakedly a holding pattern while Harbinger Wars II finishes up.
It's not badly-written; Matt Kindt is as talented as ever Aric isn't an especially interesting character in this tale He's single-mindedly searching for[...]
The Harbinger Wars come to an end once again as Livewire and X-O Manowar come to blows, and Ninja-K and Charlie Palmer have a standoff. Is it a good read?
BOOM! Studios has revealed a first look at the second issue of Black Badge, the hit new series by Matt Kindt and Tyler Jenkins about an elite team of boy scouts doing black ops for the government, based on a true story (probably).
Meet the Black Badges, a top-secret, elite branch of boy scouts tasked by[...]
Willy is new to this troop of "Black Badge" Scouts, and he could not have guessed what they would actually be doing in this part of the world.
Black Badge #1 cover by Matt Kindt
Black Badge #1 is a dark absurdist parody of the blind loyalty inherent in the Boy Scouts and, to a certain extent,[...]
Ninja-K and Faith come out of this issue looking good, and I'm not sure how many Major Charlie Palmer fans there are out there — but he looks like an ass in this comic.
Matt Kindt seems to be veering towards a resolution that shows that both sides have some bad actors, but that is a[...]
BOOM! Studios has released a first look inside Black Badge #1, the new ongoing series from Grass Kings creative team Matt Kindt and Tyler Jenkins The series was announced back in May In the press release, BOOM! Senior Editor Eric Harburn drew the short straw and was forced to provide the latest in a never-ending[...]
We continue our dive into the past life of X-O Manowar and his time as a Visigoth fighting the Huns and the Romans. Is it a good read?
The Harbinger Wars continues with Peter Stanchek battling Ninja-K and X-O Manowar. Bloodshot and Livewire make a move against G.A.T.E. Is it a good read?
Another week has passed, and that means its time to count down the top and bottom five comics of the past week. Read here to see the score.
Ether Copper Golems trudges on with Boone and his crew escaping from the magical prison and searching for a wizard named Agrippa. Is it a good read?
Written by Matt Kindt and drawn by Adam Pollina, Harbinger Wars 2: Aftermath #1 is, according to the press release, "a blistering standalone epilogue," so you may want to wear protective gloves while reading it In any case, the book will "sort through the rubble of the most brutal confrontation ever felt in the Valiant[...]
A press release from Valiant provides more details:

Will the killer face the justice they deserve? Will they get away? Will the Grass Kingdom survive?
Grass Kings #15 cover by Tyler Jenkins
Grass Kings #15 brings an understated yet brutal conclusion to Matt Kindt, Tyler Jenkins, and Hilary Jenkins' series Not all questions are thoroughly answered, but you are given a general idea where everything[...]
Matt Kindt (Mind MGMT) and David Rubin (Black Hammer) have a new series over at Dark Horse called Ether: Copper Golem, described as a fantasy adventure about a science-minded hero intent on keeping the balance between Earth and a magic world And we have an exclusive first look at the second issue of the series that is[...]
We look back on the history of Aric, aka X-O Manowar. We see the strife between the Visigoths and the Romans centuries ago while Aric decides his next actions in the present. Is it a good read?
Andy Diggle and Stephen Segovia have done great work on the new iteration of the Shadowman series, and I look forward to their further exploits with the Valiant character.
X-O Manowar #15 cover by Lewis Larosa
X-O Manowar #15
X-O Manowar jumps back through the centuries to show us the conquest of the Visigoths and what has led to the current state of[...]
Ether Copper Golems #1
Another series starting off this week from the talented Matt Kindt and David Rubin, Ether Copper Golems brings back the sci-fi/fantasy series with Boone returning to Ether and the complex emotions therein I won't dissect it here, but this is a really good character piece in addition to being a hell of a lot of fun.
Losers
Three Stooges[...]
This story has a lot of potential, and, hopefully, Matt Kindt will be able to pull this one off That, mixed with brilliant artwork, makes this comic worth a recommendation Check it out when it comes out on May 30th, 2018.
