Bob's Burgers Season 12 E14 Review: Candy Feeds The Musical Soul

FOX's Bob's Burgers explored the depths of what we'll endure for those we care about and how much of a mystery can be in one briefcase. Warning, some spoilers may be waiting ahead for you so make sure to watch the episode first and then come back if you don't want anything revealed to you. Otherwise, see you on the other side of this image break…

Bob's Burgers witnessed the return of Courtney, yes the necklace-sucking & all over the place mess we love is back and a big part of the recent episode. I'll not soon forget the quote from Courtney in her meeting with Tina and Louise on the playground, speaking about herself and Gene saying, "We're like Simon and Garfield." It's the small moments and writing like that which has me laughing my ass off during certain episodes of Bob's Burgers.

While Louise and Tina try and convince Gene to be in Courtney's music video, mainly because of the promise of good chocolate bars, Linda is concerned over a briefcase left behind by a quiet and odd patron on the restaurant. Honestly, I was excited during this episode to see what was in the briefcase because I love a good (or average) mystery no matter what. I always love the friendship between Linda and Teddy, particularly when it's something random like raccoons or small mysteries involving customers. Bob's Burgers had some better writing in this episode for sure. Obviously, with numerous amounts of episodes, there will be levels of favorite episodes. I wouldn't consider this a big favorite, but it was very enjoyable and funny. From Courtney glitching out in Gene's mind during the making of the music video to the briefcase being flung open to reveal a plethora of walnuts, it was odd and I loved it. I would carry around a bunch of walnuts or peanuts as well. I can't help my odd food preferences that change from time to time. This was a fun episode and one I would truly recommend you watch sometime soon. Let me know in the comments below what you thought of the episode!

Bob's Burgers Season 12 E14 Review:
Review by Brittney Bender

8/10
FOX's Bob's Burgers brought back a classic character, Courtney, which made the episode great in many ways. What could have been improved would have been the story overall, it didn't develop as much interest as I'd hoped it would.
