Brooklyn Nine-Nine Has Been Renewed for a Seventh Season!

For about thirty hours last year fans of Brooklyn Nine-Nine were in quite a state online. Fox had decided to cancel the show and there was a loud outcry among fans online to save it. NBC picked up the show but it was for a shorter season. A lot of fans were under the impression that the show was given a chance to wrap up in this final season and that would be it. It turns out that isn't the case. According to The Hollywood Reporter NBC has decided to renew Brooklyn Nine-Nine for a seventh season.

"It's been one of our great joys as a network to give Brooklyn Nine-Nine a second life," said Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta, co-presidents of scripted programming at NBC Entertainment. "Cheers to [executive producers] Dan Goor, Mike Schur, Luke Del Tredici and David Miner, and our amazing cast and crew who each week turn New York's finest into New York's funniest."

Brooklyn Nine-Nine continues to be one of the best shows on TV and is criminally underrated. It seems like NBC is doing a lot more promotional work for the show compared to Fox so many it'll finally get some recognition during next years awards season.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Jake Peralta, an immature, but talented N.Y.P.D. detective in Brooklyn's 99th Precinct, comes into immediate conflict with his new commanding officer, the serious and stern Captain Ray Holt.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Chelsea Peretti, Dirk Blocker, and Joel McKinnon Miller. New episodes air on Thursdays at 9/8c on NBC.
