John Carpenter Presents Offers 2 New Scripted Horror Podcast Scares

John Carpenter teams with Bloody Disgusting/Cineverse and Storm King Productions for new horror podcasts, with "Something Wicked" available.

John Carpenter is teaming up with Bloody Disgusting/Cineverse and Storm King Productions for two new scripted narrative podcasts. The first of which, Something Wicked, is available now. Created by Read W. Ridley and produced by 12 Angry Bears, the podcast will run for eight episodes. "At Cineverse, we believe in the power of audio storytelling and fiction podcasts. We're incredibly excited to bring stories like Something Wicked to our listeners across the globe. "Bloody Disgusting, the horror division of Cineverse (Nasdaq: CNVS), today announced a new partnership with Storm King Productions to develop and launch two original scripted podcasts under the "John Carpenter Presents" banner. The collaboration brings together two established forces in the horror space to expand premium storytelling into the audio fiction market. The first series "John Carpenter Presents: Something Wicked" is available now. The eight-episode scripted series, created by Read W. Ridley and produced by 12 Angry Bears, with executive producer Sandy King, follows a young historian and a seasoned detective investigating paranormal crimes in New Orleans. Inspired by real events, the series blends supernatural horror with investigative drama. In addition to "Something Wicked," Bloody Disgusting and Storm King Productions are in production on a second original "John Carpenter Presents" fiction podcast. Further details will be announced."

John Carpenter Keeps Pumping Projects Out

We can only hope to have our hands in as many projects as John Carpenter does at his age. At this point, we can safely say that he is the most famous horror director to walk the Earth, and, just behind Stephen King, the first name you think of when someone brings up the genre.
