Welcome back to our weekly look at what Svengoolie (aka Rich Koz) and the House of Svengoolie (Sarah Palmer's gorgeous ghoul Gwengoolie, Scott Gryder's devilishly ingratiating IMP (Ignatius Malvolio Prankerstein), and Bill Leff's the 800-year-old vampire Nostalgiaferatoo) have in store for our Saturday night. Kicking off at 8 pm ET/7 pm CT on MeTV, Svengoolie rolls out a screening of Universal Pictures' 1977 film The Car – a film that we will proudly say we've watched easily into the double-digits at this point. Directed by Elliot Silverstein and written by Michael Butler, Dennis Shryack, and Lane Slate (from a story by Butler and Shryack), the film starred James Brolin, Kathleen Lloyd, John Marley, Elizabeth Thompson, and Ronny Cox. Put aside anything you have heard or read about it; The Car is a fun film that shouldn't work as well as it does, and that's in large part due to the cast buying into the premise of a demonic car that goes on a demonic rampage. To make sure you're ready for tonight's screening, we have a preview waiting for you above. In addition, we have a look at the official trailer for the film, some blog thoughts from Svengoolie about what you can expect from tonight's show, and maybe even a funny note to end things on.

You can check out the trailer for The Car below, followed by some additional intel from Svengoolie regarding tonight's screening (with the complete blog update here). In addition, we have a look at Kerwyn's "Joke of the Week," submitted by Steven from Escondido, CA:
Svengoolie on Tonight's Screening of "The Car": "We'll run down (oops- poor choice of words) the cast, including James Brolin, Ronny Cox, 'The Godfather' alumnus John Marley, and even some future 'Real Housewives'-plus, the car itself, created by the late George Barris! We'll also get a lot of milage from the usual Sven fun- with a parody of a certain cartoon seen on 'Tune In With Me' and MeTV Toons- and we also bring back our version of one of the first commercials from Liberty ( or Bibberty)- plus a look at another famous horror movie car- a few moments with our actor pal Jeff Daniel Phillips who can make any vehicle somewhat disturbing!"
