The Arrowverse Is Back And So Is Lord Mesa's Takes
I've written about him before, but I am always impressed by the work of Lord Mesa. He has created himself quite a nice little niche doing art work based on television series, especially the CW superhero shows. He's had his work actually appear in the 100th episode of Arrow, the casts of the shows retweet his work all the time and they made a SDCC exclusive statue of his version of Green Arrow. You can find out more about him on his website.
I also did a Free Comic Book Day event with him this year and watched him draw image after image for young fans.
Now that the Arrowverse shows are back, Lord Mesa has been doing a bunch of new images and I thought I'd share some of them here to highlight his very cool work that mixes his artwork with humor. We start off with his version of the villains from the upcoming Crisis on Earth-X crossover.
Then we have his images of Supergirl including her stopping a truck, J'onn J'onzz getting coffee and the Danvers heat vision.
With the Flash, we get his return to save Iris, the new suit, Cisco in the dog house and Barry's love of pancakes.
From Arrow, we get the dynamic first appearance of the season. The passing of Samantha, handing over the mantle, spending time with William and my personal favorite… the cost of name dropping.
And finally, Legends of Tomorrow, highlighting the Atom / Citizen Steel 'Bro hug'.
