After spending a whole lot of money and waging a war against Disney, history books, the LGBTQ community, and pretty much anyone & everything he could to win over the MAGA-mad Republican cult, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis called it quits on Sunday – ahead of what could've been a serious ass-beating in New Hampshire this week. But before he officially turned off the lights on a campaign that political academics will be studying for years as a cautionary tale showing how one can do so little with so much, DeSantis made sure to take a knee. Not to protest the societal injustices all around us. No, DeSantis made his pledge to support ex-reality show host & mult-impeached ex-POTUS Donald Trump's bid to storm back into The White House in 2024. That means the waiting game is now underway to see how long Nikki Haley can hold out before she ends up in front of a microphone, blowing smoke up Trump's ass despite all of the horrible things he's said and done. Thankfully, before we get to our "Dead Candidate Walking" watch, Comedy Central's The Daily Show gave "Mickey Mouse" some air time to offer his response to DeSantis crawling his way out of the 2024 POTUS race. When a clip begins with, "Suck it, loser!" you know it's just gonna get better from there – and it does.
From references to Bambi's mom dying and DeSantis not being able to meet the height requirement to ride Space Mountain, "Mickey" satirically shivs the Florida Governor and then twists – hitting DeSantis with a great "public domain" line while offering him a job as Cinderella (since DeSantis has experience with "high heels") and more. We don't want to step on any of "Mickey's" lines, so we'll stop there – but for a good laugh at (not with) someone who so righteously deserves it, check out the clip below:
