The White Lotus Season 3: Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey & More Join Cast
Leslie Bibb, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, and more have joined the cast of HBO & Mike White's The White Lotus Season 3.
The White Lotus Season 3 has a principal cast, announced this afternoon by HBO. The acclaimed drama will again be the brainchild of Mike White. Joining him on this edition of the Emmy Award-winning hit series will be Leslie Bibb, Dom Hetrakul, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, and Tayme Thapthimthong. They will be joined by returning cast member Natasha Rothwell. The season will begin filming in February in and around Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok, as this season is set to be set at a new White Lotus resort in Thailand. The first season of the show was nominated for 20 Emmy Awards, winning ten. The second season has 23 nominations at this year's awards.
The White Lotus Will Have Everyone Talking Again
HBO is partnering with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, whose Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool had this to say: "We are honored to have Amazing Thailand featured as the filming location for the highly anticipated upcoming season of 'The White Lotus.' The kingdom's exotic natural beauty, rich historical sites, and diverse landscapes are the perfect settings to share our fascinating culture, fantastic cuisine, top-notch wellness, and luxury offerings, and most importantly, our people and Thai hospitality. Thailand has long been considered one of the world's favorite filming locations. 'The White Lotus' project will certainly strengthen the kingdom's status as a preferred filming destination and a beacon of experience-based tourism, inspiring even more visitors to Amazing Thailand."
Anticipation for this is extremely high, especially in my household. While season one was good, season 2 was great. It will be sad that another cast member is not coming back, though it would be hard for that to happen without a ton of explanation (keeping it vague for spoiler purposes). Though that person will be missed, this new cast is great and, in White's hands, should make something special.
