CW Seed's Vixen Animated Series Collected For Home Release
For those of you who haven't seen it… or for those who want to see all the episodes in a row like a single movie, DC will be releasing the CW Seed animated series Vixen to Digital HD May 8th and Blu-ray May 23rd. Vixen: The Movie pulls together both seasons into one continue feature and adds 15 minutes of new content. It will also include a new featurette and two Vixen-focused episodes of Justice League Unlimited.
The series/movie features Megalyn Echikunwoke as Mari McCabe, a young orphan girl raised in Detroit and who inherited her family's Tantu Totem which allows her to tap into the power of animals. The story focuses on her origin, the history of the Totems and her family legacy. A wide variety of guest voices from the Arrowverse appear including Stephen Amell (Green Arrow), Grant Gustin (The Flash), Brandon Routh (The Atom), Katie Cassidy (Black Canary), Martin Stein and Franz Drameh (Firestorm) and more.
Echikunwoke made her live action debut on Arrow last season and now Maisie Richardson-Sellers is playing Amaya Jiwa, McCabe's grandmother and a previous incarnation of Vixen.
Run time of the first two seasons are 31 and 30 minutes.
