Cody Rhodes Is Returning To Arrow
He may not have gotten that Inhumans part he wants (yet), but when Bleeding Cool talked to wrestling superstar Cody Rhodes in November, he was eager for a return to the CW's Arrowverse, where he portrayed villain Derek Sampson back in Season 5, Episode 3 of Arrow.
"I would love to," Rhodes said when asked about a potential return at that time. "There's no concrete plans right now. I heard something might be brewing for a future season. What Greg Berlanti has done is amazing – he's made four distinct universes, I think there's about to be a fifth – with bringing DC to television. I would love to be part of the Arrowverse, Star City, again as Derek Sampson, or even part of something like Legends of Tomorrow. I'm a lifelong comic book reader, and they were very excited about the episode and how it turned out, as was I, so I would say there's a good chance."
Well, it's official! Rhodes will return in Season 5, Episode 21, according to report from IGN. He'll reprise his role as Sampson, though there are no other details about the plot. The news received praise from Rhodes himself on Twitter:
