Titan Comics' Under Gets A Preview – And A James Stokoe's B&W Cover
Titan Comics has announced a new international comic book imprint, Statix Press to showcase the best comics from Europe and around the globe.
They will expand upon their translations of Philippe Druillet's Lone Sloane, and Alejandro Jodorowsky' Showman Killer, with their new titles Doctor Radar, The Beautiful Death, Hercules: Wrath of the Heavens, and Under: Scourge of the Sewer.
The latter of which is getting a B&W variant of James Stokoe's artwork for the cover.
Titan's Chris Thompson says "When we first saw James Stokoe's pencils for the cover to Under #1, we knew we had something special on our hands. His final colours were gorgeous, but there was something so striking about that original B&W art which deserved recognition. As a result we're pleased to offer this 'virgin' B&W variant alongside the colour version and Stefano Raffaele's cover. In fact, we're so excited about James' work on the title that we've commissioned him to do a cover for issue 2 as well! Keep your eyes peeled for that over the coming month."
Here's a look, with a preview of the December-shipping comic to come.
