Dungeons & Dragons' Next Adventure Book Will Go Underwater
Things are going to get very awesome in Dungeons & Dragons this year, especially if you love dealing with the ocean and everything living in it. Yesterday on the D&D Twitch channel, during the show Spoilers & Swag, it was revealed by Nathan Stewart and Kate Welch that the next adventure module will be taking place underwater. We were not given the name of the book, nor were we given an estimated date of release. But they did show off two spoiler pages that, as best we can tell, are still going through the review process. The images you see below were pulled from Twitter thanks to @DropTheDie.
We get a look at Page 17, which shows two lobsters fighting with each other while some Merfolk cheers them on, with a chapter name in the corner called "Long Walk, Short Plank". Which means you going into the water will happen sooner than you think. The info on the pages doesn't give a lot of story detail, but you see mention of a water elemental. Meanwhile, Page 27 refers to the Sahuagin several times, specifically when you enter an arena for a battle, and implies heavily you'll be breathing underwater for an extended period of time without needing your own spells to do so. That's a hell of a teaser for Dungeons & Dragons. You can watch the entire show here, the spoilers come up at around the 18-minute mark.
