"Mega Man Universe" Was Supposed To Give Roll Two Sisters

Today in "what was that, now?" news, we've learned that Roll from the Mega Man series should have gotten two siblings in Mega Man Universe. If you're not familiar with the game, that's totally understandable, as it was a canceled Capcom title that never saw much daylight. It was originally designed to be a part of Xbox Live Arcade as a 3D side-scrolling adventure in the series. The game was eventually canceled in early 2011, citing various circumstances as the reasoning, even though most would say the primary reason was designer Keiji Inafune's sudden departure. Since then it's become a blip of history on the IP that brings up extra little tidbits here and there.

The latest tidbit came from Rockman Corner, who revealed the character art of two new woman robots who would have been sisters to longtime series character Roll. According to the info provided, their names are Met and Glasses, and with Roll, they would have served as curators over all three modes of the game. Well, since we never saw the game, we can only guess what each mode would have been. But it's a good read and a weird piece of Mega Man trivia.
