"Fargo", "Y", "Devs" & More: "FX on Hulu" Previews Upcoming Projects [VIDEO]

This is FX we're talking about, people. If you thought for a second there was any way American Horror Story or Fargo was going to end up anywhere near Disney+ then we need to send you back for another semester of "Streaming Services 101" (though Sarah Paulson, Leslie Grossman, and Angelica Ross would be some badass, take-no-prisoners "princesses"). Hulu on the otherhand… which brought us to "FX on Hulu".

The home to Fosse/Verdon, Atlanta, Baskets, Archer, American Crime Story, and Pose will create original content for the streamer, beginning with four new currently-in-production programs slated for a late March 2020 debut. In addition, the network's programming library of more than 40 past and current FX series will be made available to stream on Hulu within hours of their live FX broadcast.

Now viewers have gotten a formal introduction to what it all means in the following preview video, airing during Sunday night's Golden Globes awards and highlighting the past, present, and future of FX that will be available via Hulu. As much as we like the "nostalgia trip" aspects of it, what caught our eye were the first looks we got at some very eagerly-anticipated series: Cate Blanchett-starrer Mrs. America, Chris Rock's Fargo season 4, Alex Garland's Devs, comic book series adaptation Y, Jeff Bridges-starring The Old Man, and more:

Speaking with CNBC Closing Bell host Julia Boorstin back in November 2019 to address the company's fiscal fourth quarter earnings, Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed that FX would have Hulu as its new streaming partner ("We're going to create a huge FX presence on Hulu"). For Iger, the "FX on Hulu" banner is a relationship that feels like a perfect match and will prove beneficial on a number of levels, for both the network and the streaming service:

"I think it's a really good thing because of the brand FX represents. Meaning the power of its programming, the quality of its programming. I think it's a great thing for Hulu and good for FX."
