DC Comics Psycho-Pirate Joins A Crisis with McFarlane's DC Multiverse

McFarlane Toys is stepping into the Crisis on Infinite Earths with a new DC Comics Build-A-Figure Gold Label wave

DC Comics' epic multiverse war is coming to McFarlane Toys with a new set of figures based around the events of the Crisis of Infinite Earths. This wave will be a McFarlane Toys Store Exclusive, with four figures being featured. Unite all four figures, and DC Comics fans will be able to build The Monitor to help thwart the action of the Anti-Monitor. One of these new figures is an oldie but a goodie with the Psycho-Pirate. Psycho-Pirate first appeared on the pages all the way back in 1944 inside All-Star Comics #23. He has a unique set of powers that can manipulate emotions, making him a key to distract the heroes from the Anti-Monitor Crisis. Psycho-Pirates costume has been nicely captured here, but each of these figures is priced at a mighty $39.99, making them the most expensive standard DC Multiverse figures to date. Check out the entire wave online with a bundle and singles offered for Superman, Spectre, and Kid Flash as well.

Psycho-Pirate (Crisis on Infinite Earths) Gold Label

"Roger Hayden was one of the Twenty—humans Brainiac bestowed psionic powers on. Hayden believed his Medusa Mask allowed him to control the virus. He escaped the H.I.V.E. Queen, who was draining the energies of the Twenty, and found Superman. Hayden informed him Brainiac would use the Twenty as hosts for the minds of people from his destroyed home planet. Hayden tried to drain Superman's energy to free the Twenty, but Lois Lane defeated him."
