Kotobukiya Reveals New Star Wars Statue Series Featuring Rey

Kotobuki has released a nice variety of statues and they usually fly off shelves or sell out. The statues are mainly Japanese renovations of iconic American characters but they still grasp the attention of collectors and fans alike. I really enjoy their Star Wars and Marvel series statues as they have created some great characters like Spider-Gwen or Lady Deadpool. This time it looks like they have a new project on the horizon called Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. This series is a collaborative new series with Kamome Shirahama who is known worldwide for her Marvel comics covers. The first characters come out of this line is Star Wars: The Force Awakens lead Rey. The statue shows Rey posing on top of a Jakku detailed base. The character has a lot of weathering paint to show the sandy planet. She has an iconic Kotobukiya styled face and it will be perfect for any fan out there. One little cool tidbit is that the name of this statue is the "Descendent of Light". As a Star Wars fan, that's pretty interesting to know how important Rey is. Now lock down one of these before it's too late who knows how Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will end.

The Star Wars The Force Unleashed Rey ArtFX Artist Series Statue from Kotobukiya is priced at ¥15,000 and after some conversion is roughly $137. She is set to release in April 2020, pre-orders are already live and you can find them located here. Descendant of Light is the name of this work of art that Kamome Shirahama based the design of the statue off of.
