X-Men 97' Arcade 1Up: A Truly Uncanny Arcade Cabinet 

Modern and classic elements collide as Arcade 1Up introduces the X-Men 97 cabinet with 8 games and an incredible cabinet 

It has been a very big year for the X-Men across all sorts of media with games, TV, and even movies. For film, Hugh Jackman is returning to the legendary role of Wolverine with Deadpool & Wolverine, which hits theaters on July 26, 2024. For Marvel Comics, it is the end of the Krakoa Age after nearly 5 years, making way for a new era of mutants. As for TV, the greatest comeback of animation history arrived this year on Disney+ with X-Men 97', which continues the legacy and story of the hit 90s cartoon. As for games, the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics was revealed, taking Marvel fans back in time. However, worlds collide for two of these franchises as Arcade 1Up has created an uncanny special edition release with the X-Men 97' Marvel vs. Capcom arcade cabinet!

Thanks to our incredible friends over at Arcade 1Up, we were able to get our hands on this sensational arcade machine. X-Men 97' is the next level in a revival series and for continuation projects as it completely enhanced the original cartoon. Not only did the voice actors for the original series return, but the art was legendary, and now fans can bring it home. The X-Men 97' Arcade 1Up features custom artwork just for this arcade machine, adding a dash of modern taste to a nostalgic device. Magneto looms overhead on each side, with the right side featuring Gambit, Jubilee, Beast, and Cyclops, who are all ready for a fight. The left side completes the 97' team with Jean Grey, Storm, Rogue, Bishop, Morph, and Wolverine. Just like the classic arcade game, this one changes the landscape to have newly updated designs from 2024 bless this cabinet, taking fans to a new gaming heaven.

Standing at 61.5" tall, this deluxe machine is an X-Men work of art with a new light-up marquee, molded coin doors, and a 17" monitor. This screen is ready for some intense play as well, with 8 iconic Marvel Comics and X-Men arcade classics that fans can dive into. This includes both Marvel vs. Capcom games, along with Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter and X-Men vs. Street Fighter. Things then get marvelous with Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel Super Heroes in War of the Gems, as well as X-Men: Children of the Atom and Mutant Apocalypse! These are all peak Marvel games that have been nicely plucked from the past by Arcade 1Up, and a machine like this is the perfect way to contain them. Fans can even take their gaming skills online as this machine also features a LIVE mode. One of my personal favorite features is the idling screen, which can be altered by staying on the game at the Arcade 1Up main screen. Take the controls for yourself, or sit back and enjoy the sounds of the arcade right from your home. 

Seeing the X-Men 97 artwork on a machine like this is incredible, as it brings the past and the future together in an uncanny way. There might be a cartridge release coming to consoles in the future, but you can not recreate that classic joystick and button combo feel that arcade machines do. Arcade 1Up has been bringing tons of iconic arcade games to life, and we have seen other Marvel versions in the past, but this one is special. The X-Men are not going away anytime soon, and the X-Men 97' is here to stay, so a special edition arcade machine is a perfect addition to any collection.
