AJ Styles Main Events the WWE Comic Book in October, Which is Better Than Nothing

Despite being the WWE Champion, ostensibly the most important champion in WWE, AJ Styles rarely finds himself in the main event of WWE PPVs. But if he can't main event in the ring, at least The Phenomenal One can main event WWE's comic book.

As part of their Road to San Diego marketing initiative, BOOM! Studios has revealed that Styles will be featured in WWE #21 by Dennis Hopeless and Serg Acuna. Hitting stores in October, here's what the story will be about:

WWE #21 follows the worldwide journey of WWE Superstar AJ Styles in his quest to WWE. For the first time, go behind the scenes of his biggest matches as he shows the WWE Universe why he is called "The Phenomenal One."

In the press release, BOOM! editor Chris Rosa cut the following promo:

There's no doubt that AJ Styles is one of the most incredible WWE Superstars fans have ever seen and this story gives readers a chance to learn just how he became so…Phenomenal.

With covers by Dan Mora, Adam Riches, Brent Schoonover, and Marco D'Algonso, WWE #21 hits stores in October. Hey, at least someone is showing Styles some respect!
