Creating T.I.T.S

Colton and Casey Sorrels write,

At first glance some comic goers may gawk at our tongue and cheek title, T.I.T.S. But upon further look they realize that it is an acronym for Transmigrant Interdimensional Taxicab Service. Well then, they ask, how did this comic and title come to fruition?

It all started with a bad New Years Eve experience on LSD in the heart of one of America's major cities. We were out of our element, thrust into pandemonium without the slightest inkling of how to get to safe haven and out of our current predicament. So, of course, we did the next rational step and hailed a cab to make it back to the safe and soothing environment of our hotel. Like cattle we were herded into the taxicab by our driver who turned a bad trip into a cosmic taxicab ride. The taxicab swerved and meandered along the highway with the radio blaring at deafening levels as the cabbie constantly changed the radio station every ten to twenty seconds. We were like dice shaken up in a yahtzee cup and let loose on the world once we had finally arrived to our destination.

At the time we felt like we were thrown into the bizarre, drug-induced worlds of Philip K. Dick or Hunter S. Thompson, but after further reflection it was apparent that we were just mere spectators on the journey of life. So what does one do after such an experience? They make a comic book out of it of course.

T.I.T.S. details the journey of Blotter (a drunken cabbie) and Skitz Skatz (his irritable kitty cat navigator). The two were erroneously assigned the task of locating a Transmigrant on Earth who holds the key to keeping stability in the the multiverse. Unfortunately the duo are terrible at their jobs, and along with equipment malfunctions within the cab are unable to locate their Transmigrant. This is when they cross paths with Starla, a kick-ass Seattle Police Officer. To make matters worse a being known as Primordious and his Android henchman, Icivious, are also seeking to capture the Transmigrant for their own devious machinations.

We have successfully funded our Kickstarter for issue 1, and are now at the tail end of our campaign for issues 2 and 3. Being newcomers to comics we have set our initial goals relatively low, only enough to pay for printing and shipping costs. We are lucky to have two phenomenally talented artists on our team, David Gunawan on pencils and Eve Amadour on colors. We hope to have T.I.T.S. be an ongoing series and have already started production on issue 7. We wrote the first 10 issues before seeking the employment of our artist team and have mapped out our series in advance to ensure a cohesive story telling experience.

We hope many of you will join the cosmic journey. For every Bleeding Cool reader that pledges to physical copies of issues 1, 2, and 3 we will throw in a free 11×17 poster, simply send us a message with the words "Bleeding Cool" after you pledge to the $19.00 tier for physical copies of issues 1-3. All issues come signed with a bookmark and T.I.T.S. Logo Sticker as well. You can find T.I.T.S. on Kickstarter.
