Danny Pudi And Ron Funchess From Powerless Pit Blue Beetle Vs The Elongated Man
DC's latest Versus battle pits two heroes that I never would've thought of having them fight. Blue Beetle vs Elongated Man. In truth, I often just forget Elongated Man exists. He's a cool character, but doesn't get much love. So to make this battle more interesting, they brought in Danny Pudi and Ron Funchess from NBC's Powerless to back their heroes. Funchess takes the side of Ted Kord and his awesome inventions while Pudi back the super-stretchy Ralph Dibney. Beetle has no powers, but is well trained and a tech genius. He has a heart issue, but other wise is a bit of Batman with a sense of humor. Elongated Man is a Batman level detective but with the powers of Mr. Fantastic. But his is dependent on gingold which is a rare substance. In a fight I think it comes down to whether they know it's coming or not. In an unexpected battle I think the stretching would win, but give Kord a little advanced warning I can imagine him coming up with a way to top his opponent in the end.
