Will Marvel Kill Another Mutant in May's Uncanny X-Men? Plus: Where's Salvador Larroca?

Matthew Rosenberg and Salvador Larroca opened up their run on Uncanny X-Men by killing off not one but two Marvel mutants… but it looks like Rosenberg's thirst for mutant blood is not yet sated! The solicit for May's issues of Uncanny X-Men, #s 17 and 18, tease another death for the objectively greatest franchise in comics!

Who will live? Who will die? Cyclops and Wolverine are probably safe since they just came back… but it seemed like there were some ill tidings for Jamie Madrox in Uncanny X-Men #11

As for the Black King, if you didn't read X-Men Black: Emma Frost, first of all, shame on you because it was awesome, but also, it's Emma Frost.

On another note, it looks like we'll be getting new artists in May, with Carloses Gomez and Villa providing art instead of Larocca. Has Larocca been replaced after complaining about the coloring by Rachelle Rosenberg last month? Or is he just taking a break, as artists tend to do these days? We reached out for answers, but haven't heard back yet, so speculate away for now!

On the other hand, another X-Men art legend is providing the covers for these issues: Whilce Mother@#$ing Portacio! We're thinking it must be pretty nice to be Matthew Rosenberg.

Check out the solicit and those sweet Portacio covers below.

A prophecy once said that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero would come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events. Sadly, that prophecy was wrong. Oh, Jude Terror was right. For ten years. About everything. But nobody listened. And so, Jude Terror has moved on to a more important mission: turning Bleeding Cool into a pro wrestling dirt sheet!
