Frank Miller Dark Knight III #6 Cover Original Art Sells For $55,000

Frank Miller's original art for his variant cover of Dark Knight III #6 has just sold for $55,000 at the Big Apple Comic Con, via Vincent Zurzolo and Metropolis Comics.  As we told you a few days ago, Miller original art can command some pretty strong prices, but this sale is particularly noteworthy for the cover of a comic that was released just a few months ago.  The modern comics art market has been strong for key artists in recent years, but I can't think of too many (or any?) sales in this category for art associated with comics released within the last 3-5 years — let alone 6 months.
