IDW To Launch Marvel's Avengers Fun Packs Into Wal Mart, Toys R Us, Target And More

I have talked at length at the wonderfulness of the IDW Fun Packs, shrunken down size comic books packed in foil packs with stickers and stuff, and sold in the mass market – Wal Mart, Toys R Us, Target and the like.

They have centred on IDW licensed comics such as My Little Pony, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Skylanders. Like this.

But now they are moving to another comic company's titles, with Avengers Fun Packs.

This is exciting in so many ways. Not only are the Fun Packs a truly innovative way at finding the next generation of comic fans – and selling millions in the process – but with this, IDW become more than just a publisher, but a content distributor into a brand new market.

They're the new Diamond. But, you know, for kids.
