Look Deeper At The Dynamite Humble Mega Holiday Bundle
Dynamite is offering up their second Humble Bundle. Their first was to go along with their 10th Anniversary, the newest one is the Mega Holiday Bundle and the nice thing here is you can gift it to a friend. So while giving a small amount of money to charity you can introduce someone to over $500 worth of new digital comics like American Flagg, Bob's Burgers, Dean R. Koontz's Frankenstein and Jim Butcher's Dresden Files.
This morning I went on to the Humble Bundle site and bought the books myself. I had the option of paying whatever I wanted, going over the current average of $8.45 and opening up some additional books or going over $15.00 and opening even more titles. I chose the last option. I then got to pick how much of the money went to the charities – Doctors Without Borders, Make A Wish and The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund – how much went to Dynamite and how much was a tip for Humble Bundle. I'll admit I gave 2/3rds of my amount to the charities… It is Christmas and all.
After that I was asked to put in my email address, which is for delivery of a link to your purchases, not just a way to spam you later. Then I had a few payment options including Paypal and Amazon Pays. After making the payment, I received the link almost immediately and was able to start reading Dead Irons Vol 1 right away… it was written by our own Jim Kuhoric.
I can go to that link any time and download the titles… and they say that some books will be added. They weren't kidding. Today Dynamite added the following titles to the bundle and you get them even if you already purchased the bundle.
Mercy Thompson: Moon Called Vol. 2
Doodle Jump #3
Doodle Jump #4
Uncanny #2
Red Sonja #9
Red Sonja #10
Jim Butcher: Dresden War Cry #4
Jim Butcher: Dresden War Cry #5
I believe that make it the complete Dresden Files: War Cry series, which I will be reading tonight after work.
So if you are looking for some new reading materials, a gift for a friend or a tax deduction at the end of the year… check out the Dynamite Humble Mega Holiday Bundle…. It's a lot of good stuff.
