Love Can Melt A Frozen Heart: Betty and Veronica Jumbo Comics #250

index

I guess since Valentines day is in a month comics are getting into the loving spirit. At least that's what I'm getting from Dan Parent's gag cover. We open with a story called "Bridesmaids", in which Veronica is going into meltdown mode over her admittedly ugly bridesmaid dress for an upcoming wedding. Thankfully her cousin Harper saves the day, and comes up with something more acceptable. The story is short and sweet, which leads us into a classic Dan DeCarlo story. There's an excellent mix of old and new, focusing on both Valentines Day and just the annoyance that is winter. There's even a handful of Sabrina and Salem stories in this issue as well, which is always a welcome change.

My personal favorite story in this issue is "Little Archie with Little Sabrina in All Those Charms". While it goes a little against canon (Sabrina didn't realize her powers until she was 16), it's still a cute story of Sabrina helping Betty try and get Archie. Of course the plan backfires, but it was executed adorably. All in all, I enjoyed this issue a great deal, and I think you will too!
