Marvel's Free Comic Book Day Titles Are Officially Are Secret Wars #0 And All-New Avengers
Marvel's Free Comic Book Day title in March had been solicited as FCBD Secret Wars #1. Even though an actual Secret Wars #1 is shipping in May.
It will now be called Secret Wars #0 – which indicates a whole different kind of comic book. An FCBD #1 might indicate a preview of sorts, a sneek peek at the upcoming series, the spinoffs, the crossovers and the like. An issue 0 indicates a prologue, a brand new story introducing themes, characters, ideas that will kick off the new series and be eventually included in any collection.
It's a minor, but very distinctive change in solicitations… and may well result in an increase in interest.
Seems like it's not a zero sum game after all. The comic will also include the Avengers Vs. Attack On Titan crossover that ran in Japan earlier this year.
Tough the cover stil looks a bit like it's a #1. But no, it's a #0.
While their second Silver title is the All-New All-Different Avengers, including (we think) the Korean Avengers character White Fox. But could this also reflect the lineup of the Avengers at the end of Avengers: Age Of Ultron? It will also contain a preview of Uncanny Inhumans.
