Michael J. Sullivan Signs Deal With Dabel Brothers To Bring Riyria To Comics

Dab4Michael J. Sullivan, author of the Riyria book series, has partnered with Dabel Brothers Publishing for an upcoming graphic novel, Riyria: The Death of Dulgath. Sullivan has written 10 novels so far with another five waiting to be published, the Riyria series has sold more than three-quarters of a milllion English copies worldwide and have been translated into 12 foreign languages.

In the book, the mercenary and ex-assassin team of Hadrian and Royce must venture to a forgotten corner of the world to save a mysterious woman who knows more about Royce than is safe and cares less about herself than is sane.

"I'm a huge fan of graphic novels and it's always been high on my wish list to see Royce and Hadrian portrayed in this medium," said Sullivan when asked about the graphic novel adaptation. "The Dabel Brothers' enthusiasm for this project and their impressive track record makes them the perfect partner."

While the adaptor has yet to be announced, artist Nigel Raynor will illustrate the graphic novel, Riyria: The Death of Dulgath. The plan is to do a kickstarter to fund the project this spring.Dab3
