Off To The London MCM Expo… See You There?

This is the first MCM Expo since the release of Cockneys Vs Zombies. I do hope we get a reprieve of it somewhere. Set in the Docklands, MCM is Britain's largest comic convention, though it is dominated by anime, TV, films and gaming. Nevertheless, there is a strong comics and manga prescence at the show, and the highest proportion of female to male comics guests I've ever seen at an English-speaking comic convention and an appreciative audience with equity between the genders – still a very rare sight. Here's a look at the comic creators who will be attending with tables.

Tomorrow, the show opens with showrunner Howard Overman and his new Misfits cast. Matt Smith will be knocking around, and so will a host of film and TV stars. But I'll be looking for pick up sociopathic bromance comic The Unprofessionals, seeing if there is a fourth volume of Twisted Dark, getting back in touch with Destiny Blue and starting… a new plan.

I understand that the British Rob Granito, Sean King, will have a stall – though he may have to deal with confrontations through the event, over his decision to take deviantArt images, print them and sell them without any care for the original artist… I will take photos.
