On The Biggest Day For Anime Expo Record Attendees Were Often Cosplayers, Plus Photogallery
By Michele Brittany, a West Coast Bleeding Cool Correspondent
It was the third day of Anime Expo being held at the Los Angeles Convention Center over the Fourth of July holiday weekend. Last year, the attendance was recorded at 61,000 and after seeing the many lines forming between the buildings through the day today, I think that AX will surpass last year's numbers. Part of those numbers were made up of cosplayers. I saw even more Attack of Titan and League of Legends characters today. However, there were a couple of wonderful surprises as well, such as Marty McFly from the Back to the Future movies and Eric Draven from The Crow that I happened to run into outside the center as I was headed home.
I also spent much of the day in the artist alley looking at all of the booths. And, I finally managed to see an entire panel, Comfort Love Presents: Let's Make a Manga, but it wasn't without some challenges (more on that in a separate article).
Enjoy the photos and for those with badges, AX continues through Sunday, July 6, opening at 10 AM and continuing through 3 PM.
