Will The Assasin's Creed, Watch Dogs And Far Cry Films Build A Marvel-Style Universe?
Ed Brown writes for Bleeding Cool
Shared universes are what the people want, it would seem. And I think we can now add Ubisoft Motion Pictures to the list of storytellers looking to weave an interplay between their tales, much as Marvel have been doing.
In the following interview from E3, Ubisoft's Ash Ismail promises tie-ups between the Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed games. Talk turns towards that topic at 4:02, and I've transcribed the salient bit below.

For the people who will play both games, there are some Easter eggs that will be a bit hard to find, but when you find them, it will blow your mind.
Thanks to Elder Geek via Gaming Blend for the heads up.
If Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs do take place in the same world, this wouldn't be the first time Ubisoft have woven in shared elements. As pointed out by Game Front, last year's Far Cry 3 also had a number of easter eggs that suggest how the events of Assassin's Creed 3 were causing ripples for some of the Far Cry characters.
It's hard to say what this could mean for the film adaptations already announced for each of these three games' series.
I think it will be really interesting to see how the stories interact on consoles before making the same move on the big screen, but I wouldn't be surprised if Ubisoft will want to follow Marvel's phenomenally successful paradigm as closely as possible.
