Neil Gaiman To Appear On Arthur

Neil Gaiman To Appear On Arthur

When Alan Moore, Dan Clowes and Art Speigelman did their comic book store signing in Simpsons, voicing themselves, I felt that Neil Gaiman got a bit missed out there.

Well, looks like he's making up with it in kids show Arthur.

The episode airing on PBS in the US on October the 25th features Neil Gaiman, reinterpreted as a kind of feline biped.

Neil Gaiman To Appear On ArthurWired reports that;

Gaiman's role comes in an episode called "Falafelosophy," inspiring one of the kids who's trying her hand at writing and illustrating a graphic novel. It's paired with what sounds like a suitable companion story, "Tales of the Grotesquely Grim Bunny," about changes on the shelves at the local comic shop.

Weirdly, Arthur has always felt to me like one of those shows Gaiman has criticised in the past, likely to have the kind of story where its someone's birthday and they think everyone has forgotten but it turns out everyone is preparing a surprise birthday instead.

This is probably not going to be one of those episodes.
