Preacher Rewind 308: A Look Back at Bleeding Cool's Thoughts on 'The Tom/Brady'
Welcome once again to Bleeding Cool's Preacher Rewind, as we look back at our thoughts on 'The Tom/Brady' heading into the final two third season episodes of AMC's series adaptation of the Garth Ennis/Steve Dillon comic book series.
So were Jesse (Dominic Cooper), Tulip (Ruth Negga), and Herr Starr (Pip Torrens) able to break Angelville's hold and avert the Allfather's (Jonny Coyne) Humperdoo (Tyson Ritter) apocalypse – especially now that Satan (Jason Douglas) is in the mix thanks to Gran'ma (Betty Buckley)? Did Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) discover Eccarius' (Adam Croasdell) secret in time to save the others? Was The Saint of Killers (Graham McTavish) able to deliver his bounty bundle of Eugene (Ian Colletti) and Hitler (Noah Taylor) to Satan as easily as it appears?
One more time…this is Preacher, people! Did you really think any of this was going to go smoothly? Check out our review of 'The Tom/Brady' below and see why the show's growing manic energy and converging storylines are only two of the main reasons why we feel the series has been firing on all cylinders raging into its final two episodes this season:
Preacher s03e08 'The Tom/Brady': Annville, Angelville and the Grail team up to steal souls in New Orleans and Osaka in a last-ditch effort to satisfy Gran'ma and save the world.
As we can see from the trailer/sneak preview for AMC Preacher season 3, episode 9, 'Schwanzkopf', Featherstone (Julie Ann Emery), Eugene, and Hitler's bus ride to Hell might just end up being the lesser of about a dozen evils compared to Jesse's inevitable one-on-one with the Allfather and Cassidy's painful (for him) attempts to expose Eccarius. And then there's Tulip, who apparently will never pass up the chance to look The Angel of Death (Erinn Ruth) in the eye and call her "Satan's bitch"…
Preacher s03e09 'Schwanzkopf': Divided and trapped, Tulip, Jesse and Cassidy battle old friends, new enemies and loved ones to escape certain death – or worse.

PREACHER is a dramatic thrill ride that follows West Texas preacher Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), his badass girlfriend Tulip (Academy Award nominee Ruth Negga) and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) as they embark on a road trip to find God and are thrust into a twisted battle spanning Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between.
The 10-episode third season follows Jesse's quest for God which takes him back to the place he's been avoiding his whole life: home. Jesse, Tulip and Cassidy return to Angelville, the Louisiana Plantation where Jesse was raised, and find old grudges and deadly obligations await them. With the help of his friends — and a few enemies — Jesse will need to escape his past…because the future of the world depends on it.
Ian Colletti, Graham McTavish, Pip Torrens, Julie Ann Emery, Malcolm Barrett, and Noah Taylor also return for the third season of Preacher, joined by new series regulars Betty Buckley (Supergirl, Split), Colin Cunningham (Blood Drive, Falling Skies), Jeremy Childs (The Last Castle, Nashville), Liz McGeever (Star, Nashville), Jonny Coyne (Turn, Alcatraz), Adam Croasdell (Reign), and Prema Cruz (Mozart in the Jungle).
