These panels are from BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER: SEASON EIGHT #36, from 2010. Angel is having a conversation with a supernatural entity, which has possessed a passing dog in order to talk to Angel but can't fully overcome the dog's natural instincts.

And the below is from THE VENTURE BROS. Season Two, Episode 4 "Escape to
the House of Mummies Part II"), first aired in 2006 in which Dr. Orpheus is having a conversation with a supernatural entity, which has transmogrified inro dog in order to talk to Dr Orpheus but can't fully overcome the dog's natural instincts.
