AMC Sets 'Walking Dead' Superfan Yvette Nicole Brown as Interim 'Talking Dead' Host
In a move that comes as no surprise and at the urging of many fans, AMC has confirmed that Community actress and Walking Dead "superfan" Yvette Nicole Brown will be taking over hosting duties on Talking Dead from Chris Hardwick on an interim basis, beginning on August 5. Brown has been a frequent guest on the show, and will also be serving as moderator for the San Diego Comic-Con panels for both The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead (see below).
Here's what AMC had to say in an official statement:
"Yvette Nicole Brown will step in as an interim guest host of 'The Walking Dead Season 9 Preview Special' on August 5 and 'Talking Dead' when it returns following the premiere of 'Fear the Walking Dead' on August 12, as we work to complete our assessment related to Chris Hardwick."
Talking Dead host and AMC moderator Chris Hardwick stepped away from his hosting responsibilities in June in the face of accusations from ex-girlfriend Chloe Dykstra that he abused her during their relationship and that her career suffered after he worked to sabotage her career within the industry after they broke up. Hardwick continues to deny the allegations.

The first half of season four began with one figure huddled around a campfire, and ended with nine.
