Unlikely Big Spoiler Casting For Doctor Who Finale On IMDB
Do you remember how IMDB had Norman Lovett cast for Davros in Doctor Who: The Parting Of Ways a couple of years ago? One of the problems with the site is that people, when accredited, can just add names, sometimes at random, to film and TV listings without proper checks. It relies on the honesty of people and the self-correcting of crowds.
We should probably say BIG SPOILERS BIG SPOILERS BIG SPOILERS in case this is correct, but it probably isn't, and honestly while IMDB does get genuine casting scoops, they are usually through agents being a bit too open about their clients' work or production companies releasing lists too early. Neither of which is likely to have happened in this case.
Well, right now, IMDB has a listing for the final episode of Doctor Who this year. And it lists a number of people we know are in the episode, after the Today Show visit to the set. So we have Today presenter Meredith Vieira doing a cameo, and Ian McNeice reprising his role as Winston Churchill – even if he is now Emperor Winston Churchill. And we have Ezekiel Wigglesworth playing Young Rory and Caitlin Blackwood reprising her role as Young Amy. All fine.
But it also lists as playing The Doctor, Matt Smith, David Tennant and Peter Davison.
Here's the thing, if they were going to do this thing, and I have no doubt that they'll try at some point, wouldn't they wait a couple of years for the Fifth Anniversary before going full steam ahead with a new The Three Doctors?
Bloody IMDB. I'm going to add Christopher Biggins as Borusa, just to see how far I get.
