EXCLUSIVE: Yaoi Press Publisher Arrested For Drug Operation

Yamila Abraham is the publisher of Yaoi Press since 2004, who put out a number of yaoi and hentai maga comic books for the English speaking market, homoerotic and pornographic comics for a female audience. Very successful in their field, Abraham distributes her books across America and internationally.

It turns out that might not have been the only thing she was distributing.

According to the Las Vegas Sun, Abraham was today arrested for selling and distributing excess doses of dextromethorphan hydrobromide, an active ingredient in cough mixture, masquerading as herbal extract pills called Snurf through the website www.Pleasureherbs.com. The Sun reports that Abraham has been charged

in a criminal indictment with seven counts of mail fraud, one count of misbranding a drug, one count of introducing goods into domestic commerce by means of false statement and criminal forfeiture.

The Sun also reports that Abraham faces up to twenty years in prison and hundred and thousands of dollars in fines, as well as the seizure of her home, the twenty thousand tablets found anmd any drug-making equipment. However the SUn did not mention Abraham's connection to the comic industry.
