Revealing Doc Justice's Dark, Dark Secret in Runaways #29 [Preview]

Things have been going great for the Runaways lately. Without a place to live, the team was taken in by rich superhero Doc Justice, allowed to live in his mansion. Even better, the Doc has been training them to be professional superheroes, even allowing them to wear the costumes of his old kid superteam, the J-Team. But at the end of last issue, we saw the first crack in Doc Justice's cheery armor, hinting that he may not be the altruistic father-figure the Runaways believe him to be. And that brings us to this preview of Runaways #29, in stores next week from Marvel by Rainbow Rowell and Andres Genolet.

Runaways #29 [Preview]

The only Runaway who hasn't been dressing up in a colorful costume and hitting the field is Gert, due to a lack of powers, including the fact that even Old Lace seems to value protecting Chase over her.

That's right. Doc Justice… is a Boomer! So he's definitely evil. Runaways #29 is in stores on Wednesday.

• The Runaways have gone full J-Team with Doc Justice and are cleaning up Los Angeles better than ANYONE expected. Doc has never had J-Teamers with powers as amazing as the Runaways (I mean LOOK AT MOLLY, I mean, Blue-J) so they are going to have to set their sights even higher!
• But where does that leave Gert? Back at the Doc's mansion, of course. But Gert isn't going to just sit like a bump on a log. With access to the J-Team's files and resources, Gert is going to do her part!

About Jude Terror

A prophecy once said that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero would come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Sadly, that prophecy was wrong. Oh, Jude Terror was right. For ten years. About everything. But nobody listened. And so, Jude Terror has moved on to a more important mission: turning Bleeding Cool into a pro wrestling dirt sheet!
