Tuesday Runaround – The Life Of Grant Morrison

Wired highlight the new Grant Morrison biopic, and include these couple of teasers…

And yes, it's not every biopic where the director can write about his subject "In the '90s, he went through an abduction experience, where he was taken outside of time and shown the nature of the universe" and continue as normal."

The biopic will debut at San Diego next year.

And if you want to fund your trip, see if you've got any of these comic book cover posters in your loft. You just know that Grant Morrison read these comics when he was a wee nipper.

These poster covers to classic DC Thompson comics, printed for advertising purposes, are estimated to go for £3000-4000 at auction at Curr & Dewar today.

Pajiba (via /Film) discovers that the director of JCVD, Mabrouk el Mechri, will be directing the Jessica Alba movie produced by Robert Rodriguez, based on The Insiders graphic novel, before concluding;

Who the fuck am I kidding? It's gonna be atrocious.

Pádraig Ó Méalóid looks at the story that Philip Wylie's Gladiator inspired Superman. And acts as both prosecution and defence.

I can do things, dad, it kinds of scares me. I can jump higher'n a house. I can run faster'n a train. I can pull up big trees and push 'em over.

And Ernie Coz campaigns for a graphic novel to win the Caldecott Award, traditionally awarded to illustraed children's books.
