Ryan Benjamin To Draw Your Kid's Comic Character

My Kid's Comic is a new contest from Lulu.com where your child's art/character will be redrawn by Marvel, DC, Image and Dark Horse artist Ryan Benjamin.

The contest revolves around a product from Creations By You and/or Lulu that teaches your child to create their own comic book. The description for My Comic Book ($29.99) says:

  • Your child writes and illustrates their own original comic book that will be printed as a full-color, professionally typeset comic book
  • We showcase your child as the publishing author on the book?s back cover using our "About the Author" feature
  • You choose whether to mail the finished product to us in the included prepaid envelope or you and your child can create their comic book online
  • Your kit includes ready-to-use book pages, pencil and artist eraser, outline pen, markers, a postage-paid envelope and instructions for creating your comic book
  • Made in the USA

You buy the product, your child uses it and creates their own comic and then you enter the contest and hope your kid is the one chosen. This seems like a great way to encourage a child's creative energies… and also get some awesome art by Ryan Benjamin.
