Sam Humphries Hits Campaign Trail For Citizen Jack
This week sees the debut of a new on-going Image Comics series called Citizen Jack. The horror-comedy series comes from Sam Humphries (Guardians of the Galaxy) and artist Tommy Patterson (Game of Thrones). It tells the tale of Jack Northworthy, a scandal-plagued politician running for president with the help of a demon named Marlinspike.
To promote this new series, Humphries is hitting the road and spending the next few weeks in different comic shops around the country starting with Collector's Paradise in Pasadena, CA this week. After that he heads across country to Annapolis, MD to sign at Third Eye Comics along with co-creator Tommy Patterson on Nov 11th. Then finally he will swing by Austin, TX on Nov 14th at Austin Books and Comics. That is a lot of traveling to promote a creator-owned title.
