How Spider-Man: Homecoming Saved A Comic Writer's Life

Paul Allor, writer of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, GI Joe, Clue, and Strange Nation, had a bit of an incident last night. Like many comic creators, Paul claims to spend 90% of his day at his desk. He had left the house to go see Spider-Man: Homecoming only to return to discover that the ceiling over his desk collapsed. He tweeted the pictures of the debris and credits Spider-Man for saving his life.

The last image shows a stack of Past the Last Mountain graphic novels that Allor was personalizing for fans. The second image the ceiling may be the most curious. What would cause an almost perfect rectangle of ceiling to fall at once? Perhaps this is after he's done some cleanup and cut out some hanging pieces… otherwise, that's just weird.

We are happy to hear that Paul is okay and perhaps he can sell those books as "battle damaged".
