Bleeding Cool told you last week that an Astonishing Avengers series by Rick Remender was on the cards, spinning out of Axis. Possibly to replace Uncanny Avengers… but who to draw it?

Well, Esad Ribic is one of the more popular comic book creators at Marvel. Life and soul of the party, a big brash bruiser he is nevertheless generous to a fault and guaranteed to put a smile on the face of folk around him.

And it looks like Astonishing Avengers will see his return to the halls of Marvel.

Maybe they'll announce this book at New York Comic Con, maybe they'll tell us before. But it's one to look forward to.
