The Phoenix Zombie Walk

The Phoenix Zombie WalkAlex Wilson writes for Bleeding Cool;

Phoenix Zombie Walk took place Saturday, October 27th, and this was the fourth year for the event. The event has evolved into more than just an average zombie walk to more of a zombie state fair with retailers, food, live music, and a fun family friendly area.

The walk took place at 6 PM and I couldn't believe how massive it was. I could barely see the front of the horde and I couldn't see where it ended. Waiters and waitresses took photos from their restaurants as the horde walked through an outdoor mall. Police closed off streets as a zombie ambulance and Jeep led us down each turning street.

The most fun was had when the horde come across a news studio that seemed to be doing a broadcast. The teleprompter was running as hundreds of zombies rushed the windows and started banging as hard as they could. The newscasters looked around in shock at the zombie surrounding their studio but tried their best to ignore them and continue the newscast.

Zombie walks are unbelievable fun for everyone and it's nice to go out and meet your fellow geeks in the streets for some pre-Halloween antics. If there is a zombie walk in your area and you on the fence about going, do yourself a favor and load up the car and go have an amazing night.
