Vampire Writer Nancy A. Collins Can't Bring Car Back From The Dead

sunglassesThere is a lot of talk about the economy getting better, but just because things are moving forward overall, doesn't mean there aren't people struggling to get by. And for comic creators, there aren't a lot of options when you need help. Nancy A. Collins is the creator of Sunglasses After Dark and her lead character, vampire Sonja Blue. She's been nominated for multiple awards and one the Bram Stoker Award For First Novel. She has also jumped into the comic world, writing for Swamp Thing (DC), Machina Jones (Marvel), Jason vs Leatherface (Topps), Dhampire: Stillborn (Vertigo), Predator: Hell Come A Walkin (Dark Horse) and most recently Vampirella (Dynamite).

But things are tight for Collins now and she has recently lost her job as a substitute teacher. And while she is looking for work, her 1998 Buick LeSabre has died what may be its final death. She is stuck in that without transportation it's impossible to find a job and without a job it is impossible to fix or replace her transportation. She has started a Go Fund Me to raise enough to get a replacement vehicle.

If you are a fan of Collins work or just feel generous, you can check out her GoFundMe and chip in. Every little bit helps.
