The Venue Is The Key In Aquaman Vs Green Lantern

This week's Versus from DC pits hero vs hero with the king of Atlantis, Aquaman taking on the Green Lantern of Earth, Hal Jordan. The underwater world and deep space are two places man has yet to fully explore and I think this match up makes me realize these characters aren't full explored either. Hal may be the best Green Lantern, but has he every fought underwater? His constructs work based on his imagination but also his understanding of physics that would come with being a test pilot. Would they work the same in the depths of the ocean. Would his giant green fist still pack the wallop with the drag of being in water? And what about Aquaman? He can survive the pressures of the deep and without air, but how would he do in space? This seems like a battle where the environment is key. Conceivably, Hal could bubble Arthur, fly him up into space and open the bubble… game over. But if the battle stayed in the ocean, then I think Aquaman could outlast the energy of the ring.
