Adventure Time is Getting an Open-World Pirate Game Early Next Year
Adventure Time is getting an open world pirate game from developer Climax Studios and published by Bandai Namco.
Adventure Time has a whole lot of video games based on it, but most of them are smaller experiences. The show is about to make the jump to open world 3D gaming though. It's called Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion and it's described as:
The Land of Ooo is underwater, and it's up to Finn and Jake to find out why. Join our heroes as they explore dangerous waters, search for clues, interrogate pirates and fight bad guys to solve this wet, wet mystery and save the day!
You'll be able to upgrade your characters including Finn and Jake, find loot and sail around the world to find new areas. The show's cast will all reprise their roles too making for a truly authentic Adventure Time… well, time I guess. There are even more details on the game's site here.
The game is slated for a spring 2018 launch on PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One.
