An Odd Apology From an Overwatch League Coach over a Bump

Of all the apologies we probably should have received from people who did bad things during the Overwatch League, today we have one for something you and I would most likely view as an accident. Los Angeles Gladiator's coach David "dpei" Pei accidentally bumped into a couple players from the Huston Outlaws backstage during their most recent match, prompting Pei to issue an apology to the team. Most likely if you and I ran into each other at an event, we'd say sorry in person and make sure the other was okay, because crowded events cause accidents to happen. But in this case, Pei thought a public apology was deserved. A classy move, no matter what the intention. Now if only some of the players venting about each other online can learn from his example.

"Yesterday during the Outlaws match, I inadvertently bumped into two of the Outlaws players. I hadn't been watching where I was going. I was distracted thinking about what to say to our team for Kings Row, but I wanted to apologize immediately. I apologized to their players immediately after the game and Tairong shortly after. I am sincerely sorry for my actions and assure you that there was no malicious intent. Even though it was an accident, it was still unprofessional of me to shoulder bump players from another team so again, I am sorry."
