Capcom Moving Away From Street Fighter V Season Passes
You may have noticed that when Capcom put out their latest Street Fighter V character into the roster, you didn't have an option to purchase a new season pass. A number of people caught onto the fact that there was no promotion for another season's worth of characters to be purchased all at once, and the official Street Fighter Twitter account responded to a number of people who pointed this out on by saying there are no plans for a season pass in 2019.
It's kind of interesting that we've gone through three seasons worth of character passes and now we're getting individual purchases only. Could this be Capcom's way of trying to make extra money by raising the prices of future characters? Or is this more of a sign that we're coming to the end of their development of Street Fighter V as a whole? The game will be hitting its third year in February, and if Capcom has any plans to move onto other projects or create a new game in the series, it would make sense for them to step away from certain aspects piece by piece. We'll see how things shape up, but here's hoping we get a few more nostalgic figures before this year's characters run out. Like finally getting E. Honda!
